Dana Perlman formed Perlman & Associates in 1999 to represent clients in both business litigation and transactional work. Dana has extensive experience in litigating and resolving disputes in both state and federal (including bankruptcy) courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution. Also, Dana has a breadth of skills and background in business transactions, from forming entities to negotiating and drafting a wide variety of contracts .
Dana has been recognized by his peers as being an exemplary advocate for his clients. He has received an AV® rating (the highest level awarded) by Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating and has been named a Southern California Super Lawyer for 2009, 2010 and 2012 by Law & Politics and Los Angeles Magazine. Dana graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics in 1983 and from USC with a Juris Doctor in 1986, and he is admitted to all of the state and federal courts in the State of California, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Outside of the office, Dana is very active in politics and the community. Dana is a member of the National Finance Committee of the Obama 2012 campaign; a Co-Chair of the LGBT Leadership Council of the Democratic National Committee; a member of the Los Angeles Board of Transportation Commissioners; a member of the Board of Directors of the Human Rights Campaign; and has previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of both the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank and A.N.G.L.E. (Access Now for Gay & Lesbian Equality). Dana also served as a member of the Los Angeles County Youth Commission.
